AI-Powered Precision Learning: Cracking the MIBC Code with Smart Navigation of (Neo)adjuvant and Perioperative Immunotherapy Options

Muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) remains one of the most aggressive urologic cancers, with poor long-term outcomes driven by limited systemic therapy options and frequent micrometastatic disease at diagnosis. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) are transforming the treatment landscape and improving pathologic response rates and survival, but the pace of innovation has created significant challenges for clinicians to integrate into practice. At the same time, treatment-related adverse events can profoundly impact quality of life, making informed shared decision-making essential.

In this CE Concepts AI-enabled clinical simulation, learners are immersed in real-world MIBC scenarios where they must evaluate evidence, navigate cisplatin eligibility and treatment selection, engage in shared decision-making with individuals facing curative-intent choice, and manage treatment/immune-related adverse events – thereby building the clinical fluency required to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care.

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to better:

• Identify the scientific rationale and emerging clinical evidence supporting immunotherapy integration across (neo)adjuvant, perioperative, and bladder-sparing approaches to enhance clinical decision-making in MIBC
• Appraise clinical efficacy and safety data from key trials of immunotherapy regimens in MIBC to support evidence-based treatment planning for diverse real-world patients
• Apply (neo)adjuvant, perioperative, and bladder-preserving treatment strategies that incorporate immunotherapy and SDM to improve patient QoL in MIBC
• Implement practical toxicity-management protocols and patient education for TRAEs, including irAEs to optimize patient safety and survivorship outcomes across the MDT
