Accreditation:

Medicine (ACCME)
CEC designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Pharmacy (ACPE)
This knowledge-based activity is approved for 1.0 contact hour (.10 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credit (UAN 0245-0000-17-011-L01-P).

Nursing (ANCC)
This activity is designated for 1.0 contact hour.

Upon completion of a CE request form, statements of credit for physicians and nurses will be issued via email within 30 business days. Pharmacy credit will be reported directly to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy®(NABP®) CPE Monitor electronic CE tracking system.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this application-based activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply the updated International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG) diagnostic criteria and the revised International Staging System (R-ISS) to diagnose and risk stratify patients with multiple myeloma (MM).
  2. Compare and contrast current and emerging treatment options for patients with MM in frontline and relapsed/refractory settings.
  3. Assess challenging clinical issues regarding the interprofessional care of patients with MM, including monitoring minimal residual disease, managing side effects, and special considerations for frail patients.

Target Audience

Medical hematologists/oncologists, hematology/oncology residents/fellows, urologists, and hematology/oncology specialty nurse practitioners, nurses, nurse navigators, physician assistants, and pharmacists who are involved in treating or monitoring patients with multiple myeloma.
